Job Responsibilities

  • Provide support to business unit to ensure compliance with SCB Environmental and Social Risk Management Process in credit process which include verify scoping and environmental and social (E&S) risk categorization, oversee/conduct E&S due diligence, review E&S monitoring results as well as maintain EP project information for reporting and disclosure purposes.
  • Support internal training and creating alignment around the Bank’s environmental and social risk management as part of credit process.
  • Upon request, support client’s liaison to build their understanding on environmental and social risks of project as well as environmental and social actions recommended to be taken in alignment with relevant standards.
  • Manage relevant responses to internal and external inquiries on ESG/ sustainability matters and support solution-finding regarding technical environmental and social aspects in line with relevant international standards such as IFC, World Bank, UNEP FI, WRI, GHG Protocol etc.
  • Provide support in preparing comprehensive responses to external ESG/ Sustainability assessments, including but not limited to DJSI, MSCI, FSTE4Good, SET THSI and Fair Finance in technical environmental aspects.


  • At least 8 years of experience in sustainability profession/ consulting especially in designing, reviewing and auditing environmental and social processes and practices.
  • Work experience projects associated with application/deployment of international standards such as Equator Principles (EPs), International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standards, World Bank Group Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines for power and large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of sustainability tools (e.g. GRI, DJSI) and broad knowledge of key sustainability topics and trends (e.g. sustainable finance, climate change, data, and financial technology).
  • Proven working experience in project management and Microsoft Office programs especially MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal to interact with multiple internal/ external stakeholders and build mutually beneficial relationships on behalf of SCB as well as Creative thinker and problem-solver with team spirit and forward-thinking mindset to drive positive change.
