Job Summary

To reach this goal, recent advancement in natural language processing (NLP) and Deep Learning (DL) will play an important part in both optimizing internal process and improving customer experience. As a Data Scientist (NLP/DL Specialist) at SCB, you will develop and apply state-of-the-arts machine intelligence techniques (BERTs, LLMs, RAGs, etc.) to solve real-world problems such as improving search capabilities from a vast amount of unstructured data and developing question-answering chatbots for various products. You will work closely with our team of data scientist, machine learning engineers, and business staff to design, develop, and deploy NLP and DL solutions that meet the needs of our business and customers.

Job Description

• Develop and implement NLP solutions for a variety of applications, including (but not limited to) text classification, text analysis, sentiment analysis, and question-answering systems.
• Apply statistical and machine learning methods to large, complex data sets to draw insights and provide actionable recommendations.
• Solve complex problems on both technical and business sides using advanced analytical methods.
• Work with Engineering teams to implement end-to-end process from model development to testing, validation, and deployment.
• Research and develop new quantitative models and frameworks to enhance the company’s data science capability.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, Statistics or other areas that are highly quantitative.
• Experience in NLP or Deep Learning.
• Knowledge in machine learning and statistics
• Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualification

• Master’s or PhD degree in NLP, computational linguistics, machine learning, or related fields
• Experience in Named Entity Recognition, Coreference Resolution, Document Retrieval, Question-Answering, and/or related NLP tasks.
• Experience in applying NLP techniques to Thai language.
• Work-related experience with Python and core data science/NLP libraries, e.g., sklearn, scipy, pytorch,huggingface, pythainlp, etc.
• Solid understanding of advanced statistics and machine learning practices.
• Outstanding coding skills or software development background.
• Ability to think independently and communicate complex ideas to less technical persons.
• Excellent command of English in both verbal and written forms.
