“New Normal” Internship with SCB let students “Ignite Creativity” from online workshops

Learning happens not just in classrooms, and learning from experience is just as important. Joining an internship is a good choice for students seeking to fulfill their life and work passions, allowing them to accumulate knowledge beyond schoolbooks.

Siam Commercial Bank understands and recognizes the importance of empowering the younger generation to be efficient workers and good team players in the future, especially during a time when our way of life is being profoundly transformed. Accordingly, SCB has launched an internship program designed to suit “New Normal” lifestyles and allowing students from various universities to gain experience in real-work environments. Designed under the “Intern from Anywhere” concept, the program enables students to learn and up their skills from home with support from mentors who will coach, assign work, and provide useful advice throughout the 2-month internship period.

Apart from joining with senior staff as a part of the team, students are invited to regularly participate in workshops organized to help develop their skills. On June 8th and 11th the Bank organized an online “Ignite Creativity” workshop via Microsoft Teams to let students develop their creative thinking skills and learn how to think outside the box while they work as a team, brainstorm, and exchange ideas with one another.

SCB hopes that students participating in our 2020 summer internship program will discover a valuable and beneficial experience which will help them in their future careers.
