SCB lets the young bloods learning agility from the “Agile for Interns” workshop

Agile working styles are getting more popularity among firms worldwide, being a new working style that takes away the sluggishness of older working systems, while yielding success to companies within a short period of time. Agile working has been proven to help unlock the full potential of working teams. Siam Commercial Bank is one of the organizations adopting an agile way of working, which has transformed the traditional working system for the better and helped the company launch many financial innovations to the market during the past several years.

On July 9th and 14th SCB held an “Agile for Interns” workshop to let students joining the summer internship program learn about methods and processes of the agile working system in an easy-to-understand way. The workshop allowed students to improve their thinking, communication, planning, and teamwork skills, which are applicable for both studying and working in the future.

This workshop divided 55 interns into two groups in order to allow all members to get a chance to discuss, exchange ideas, and get to know one another. Organized under social distancing measures, participants were required to wear face shields throughout the activity.

The “Intern from Anywhere” style offered an opportunity for interns to meet one another for the first time and join workshop activities together face-to-face. Not only did they learn, but they also gained valuable friendships and chances to build connections.
