Summary

The role is responsible for leading, supervising and taking overall controls of financial reporting, accounting and taxation functions of SCB Subsidiaries, including financial statements and regulatory reports to the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) and providing advice to management on the liquidity aspects of its short- and long-range planning. Maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities.

Job Description

  • Act as a strategic partner to deliver useful information to the Executive Management on finance, accounting and tax strategies, financial results, budget, and projections
  • Maintain and operate efficient payment operations, Account Payables and Account Receivables which consists of cheque issuance, bank remittance and invoice/receipt issuance and control etc.
  • Review the accounting flow & procedures, which provide a comprehensive framework on business activities, IT system architecture and accounting entries then give recommendations relating to accounting standards to business units
  • Manage and review day-to-day tax operation and tax compliance, reporting and tax filing submission e.g. VAT, Corporate Income Tax, SBT and WHT
  • Establish and maintain a high level of creditability and manage to have strong working relationships with external parties e.g. The Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), the Thai Securities Association (TBA), the Revenue Department, Federation of Accounting Profession (FAP) External Auditors and Consultants
  • Perform treasury roll by forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and funds available for investment ensuring that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements. Maintain banking relationships
  • Maintain credit rating agency relationships. Arrange for equity financing and debt financing. Invest funds. Invest pension fund
  • Supervise and drive for individual and team development to ensure that the workforce's competencies are robust and responsive to existing and future strategic directions of the SCB Group

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance any related fields
  • At least 10 years’ experiences with Finance, Accounting and Taxation management
  • Experience in Banking and/or Financial Services
  • Good English skill and project management skills
