Internships with SCB…More than just a regular work experience

Bank internships can be boring, feature strict rules, and involve little but photocopying documents, the latter of which is often a key task for interns. But these routines will not be found in SCB’s Internship Program, as a group of students who have been with the Bank’s cooperative learning program for four full months now have discovered. They unanimously agree that their internships with the Bank gave them much more than they expected.

“With its open-minded work culture, SCB allows its staff to fully express opinions at work”, said Supitcha “Sue Sue” Kajornweeraphan, a fourth-year student at Thammasat University’s Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy. Sharing her experience with SCB, Sue Sue told us that, “I studied management, but I am also keen on investment. I decided to join their CIO Office Investment Strategy team because I wanted to learn something new. I never expected that I would be assigned to the team responsible for analyzing macroeconomic news, where I gained a lot of economic knowledge. I was also impressed with my mentors as they patiently answered all my questions. Most importantly, I have adopted the habit of following every economic update.”

The SCB internship program is much more than just a training internship. If you’d like to experience great moment moments with SCB, visit to apply.
