EP.14 A drive-in art exhibition lets you enjoy art from your car!

With ongoing pandemic and lock-down measures forcing the cancellation of art exhibitions, art aficionados may feel that they are missing out. The organizers of the “Immersive Van Gogh” exhibition in Toronto,

Canada, which was originally walk-in only, were concerned that many visitors might miss the chance to view over 400 artworks by the renowned Dutch artist. They put their heads together and came up with the idea of organizing the world’s first drive-in art exhibition to reduce the risks posed by physical contact. The organizers tested this concept by letting more than 100 visitors drive their cars directly to the exhibition, allowing them to enjoy a new experience in art appreciation. The concept was overwhelmingly accepted, with a satisfaction rating of 4.6 out of a highest rating of 5.

This idea is loved by art aficionados as it allows them the freedom to appreciate artworks by VanGogh without even having to unbuckle their seat belts. A happy and safe solution indeed!
