Siam Commercial Bank recently held an online certification day for Tech Cooperative Internships. Students in the program were offered a number of assignments over a 4-month period from January to April 2021, working from home, working from anywhere, and working on-site depending on the COVID-19 situation.
Interns were assigned to SCB teams and worked alongside digital, technology, and data specialist mentors who closely supervised and directed their work. Interns also underwent training that will help them advance throughout their careers, such as learning about the online DISC model and advanced presentation skills.
An online forum was held on the last day of the internships, allowing interns to present and discuss what they had learned and accomplished with their management team, mentors, and HR team members. It is gratifying to note that the projects presented were of outstanding quality and on par with those carried out by the Bank's working teams. The event concluded with an online certificate award ceremony for the interns, presided over by Khun Wittawat Autsawanapakas, FSVP, People Strategic Partner.
Students were impressed with what they learned during the SCB internship program while being assigned to handle real projects under close supervision by mentors who offered advice and guidance. They not only gained experience working with tech gurus, but also built friendships in the process.
