SCB hosts a Career Guidance Workshop to help undergraduates confidently face the real career world

Date 24 July 2020
Location RCP Building, SCB Head Office Ratchayothin

The first time doing anything is often difficult, and for first-timers seeking an interesting job preparing themselves and their resumes for job applications and interviews are among the first steps in entering the real career world. Good preparation and presentation is a plus in creating a good first impression with recruiters that will help applicants land their dream jobs.

To help undergraduates navigate this maze, on July 24 Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) hosted a career guidance workshop for 55 undergraduates under the SCB 2020 summer internship program. Participating interns were divided into two groups attending morning and afternoon workshop sessions to learn how to prepare professional resumes and how to prepare themselves for job applications and interviews.

Apart from job application tips, the SCB career guidance workshop included career coaching and job interview simulations. Interns were able to seek job advice and learn how each unit at SCB operates, and gain hands-on experience with job applications by submitting their resumes and having face-to-face job interviews with recruiters. After the job interview simulation, each intern received feedback on their strengths and areas for improvement to prepare them for real job applications and interviews in the near future.

SCB hopes that interns further continue their self-development with the ideas and tips they learned at the SCB career guidance workshop to ready them for job opportunities and the career world.
